Senator John Cornyn is in full sprint mode, but he’s looking awfully tired and old as Ken Paxton pulls ahead with serious speed. Paxton’s got that extra pep in his step — courtesy of President Trump’s strong endorsement — and he’s running like a man on a mission.
Here’s the inside scoop on how we got here: President Trump was reportedly prepared to endorse Cornyn… if Senate Majority Leader John Thune had actually delivered and passed the Save America Act. Thune balked and refused. So Trump did what any real leader does — he threw his full support behind the fighter, not the fundraiser.
That’s the difference in this race. Ken Paxton is a proven America First warrior who has taken on the deep state, the Democrats, and the establishment without flinching. Cornyn? He’s the classic RINO — the face of GOP establishment politics for far too long. Always ready to go along to get along, quick to compromise with the left, and more interested in Beltway cocktail parties than fighting for Texas values.
Look at Cornyn’s record: Cornyn helped lead the charge on the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, a gun control bill that drew heavy fire from conservatives and even got him booed at the Texas GOP convention. He’s backed massive foreign aid packages that send billions overseas while our own border remains wide open. And he’s been slammed for multiple votes over the years that critics call soft on amnesty and illegal immigration. Texas deserves better than another career politician who talks conservative on the campaign trail but votes with the swamp once he’s back in D.C.
This runoff is our chance to send a clear message: No more business as usual in the Senate. We need leaders who actually deliver results, not excuses.
