Out Of Touch Hollywood: Oscars Celebrate Failure While the Industry Burns

The Oscars have become a glittering monument to Hollywood’s self-inflicted collapse. While the industry hemorrhages cash — film productions down over 50% since 2023, box office receipts cratered 40% from 2019 levels, and audiences bolting for the exits — the 2025 ceremony was a smug, tone-deaf woke orgy.

Host Conan O’Brien hurled cheap shots at conservatives, celebrities spewed recycled anti-Trump sermons, and the big “winner” was an Antifa-glorifying bomb that lost $100 million. Yet the stars clapped like trained seals and pretended their virtue-signaling was saving cinema instead of burying it. Oscars viewership? Still plummeting—because normal Americans have better things to do than watch a dying industry vigorously pat itself on the back.

Hollywood is completely out of touch. They’re so detached from reality that they can’t feel the flames licking their boots. And it’s not just one flop. Disney’s live-action Snow White remake, bloated with woke “upgrades,” Rachel Zegler’s eye-rolling rants about the original princess being too passive, and CGI dwarfs that looked like they escaped a bad video game, turned into a historic disaster. The studio lost a jaw-dropping $170 million on that poisoned apple — another shiny DEI disaster that audiences rejected with gusto.

Classic: ruin a beloved fairy tale in order to lecture the peasants, then act shocked when the peasants stay home. This is “Get Woke, Go Broke” on steroids. Hollywood keeps force-feeding audiences divisive ideology, ugly remakes, and preachy garbage even while their empire crumbles. They’d rather pat each other on the back at the Oscars and watch ratings tank than admit the obvious: America is done being scolded by out-of-touch elites in tuxedos.

The message is crystal clear — they’re not making movies people want; they’re making propaganda people mock. Meanwhile, the rest of us are laughing, changing the channel, and voting with our wallets. Hollywood isn’t just burning—it’s roasting marshmallows over the fire it started.
