The comedian and longtime Trump hater has moved to Ireland, declaring she’s done with the U.S. as long as the ‘orange man’ is in the Oval Office. In a drama-filled TikTok video that’s received more attention than a soap opera cliffhanger, Rosie spilled the tea: She packed up her bags and her 12-year-old daughter Dakota and fled to Dublin just days before Trump’s second inauguration on January 20, 2025. 

Why? She’s not about to stick around for what she calls a political disaster starring “The Donald.”

Rosie has been slinging zingers at Trump since the early 2000s—think of it as a feud longer than a “Lord of the Rings” marathon—and now she’s cashing in on her Irish heritage (thanks, grandparents!) and snagging Irish citizenship in order to live her best life across the pond.

Rosie is raving about her warm welcome and stunning views, although she admits she’s missing her other kids and pals back stateside. Still, she’s not budging until America is “safe for all citizens to have equal rights”—a not-so-subtle jab at 47.

Meanwhile, Trump couldn’t resist a parting shot during a White House chat with Irish PM Micheál Martin, quipping that Ireland’s “better off not knowing” Rosie, which holds true all over the world. As Rosie settles into her new home on the Emerald Isle, the wee folk hope she will be tempted by a pot of gold in exchange for her leaving Ireland in peace. But don’t come back to the US Rosie—maybe try the front lines in Ukraine since you are such a big fan!
