A Perfect Gift For President Trump

I sometimes catch flak for drawing so many cartoons that cast President Trump in positive light. In actuality, I have lambasted the president on occasion—but those cartoons are few and far between, and so here is one that makes fun of him. We all know Trump has a huge ego, so in this cartoon I show him gifting Greenland to himself to usher his the Golden Era.
Oh, who am I kidding?—April fools!
Trump actually wants to protect the west from Russian and Chinese interlopers in the arctic. The communist Chinese took over the Panama Canal—they certainly can make deals and get their grapple hooks into what could be some very valuable resources under what is the world’s largest island.

By claiming Greenland, Denmark gained control over a landmass many times the size of its own country. Why do they deserve it? They did little if anything during World War II. The US deserves it for liberating them from Hitler and also protecting Europe from the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

The US is best equipped to protect and develop the resources found in the enormous land mass that is Greenland. The citizens on Greenland are too few to claim such as massive place. Call it manifest destiny, but Trump is right—and besides…going to Greenland is far easier than going to Mars.
