Laken Riley, a 22-year-old Augusta University nursing student, was in the news again. Her murderer, an illegal alien from Venezuela named Jose Ibarra, was sentenced to life in prison without parole. He brutally murdered Riley after he dragged her 60 yards from a campus jogging trail.
Donald Trump called her family and offered his condolences. It is telling that Joe Biden didn’t bother to call, but in his State Of The Union address, Marjory Taylor Greene shouted at Biden to “Say her name!” and he did. Only he called her “Lincoln Riley,” and said, “To her parents, my heart goes out to having lost children myself. I understand.” Notice how Biden always steers such tragedies toward his own. He has used his tragedies throughout his political career to garner votes and sympathy.

Kamala Harris didn’t bother to call Laken Riley’s parents either. Instead, she urged the nation not to call them “Illegal migrants,” but rather “undocumented immigrants.” She said they deserved free public health care, housing, and education. She also claimed such newcomers committed very little crime, but it’s obvious they do. They committed a crime when they broke into our country illegally. Notice how Tren de Aragua gang from Venezuela is gaining a foothold in many American cities. The violent gang emanated from a Venezuelan prison.
Laken Riley’s last journal entry was read in court by her stepfather, John Phillips. She wrote a note to her hypothetical “future husband,” and began by admitting that she felt “silly” writing it, but expressing her wishes for him. “I want you to know that I’m thinking about you. I’m working everyday to become the best wife I could be.” She dreamed of raising her future children as Christians in accordance with her own religious beliefs.
Riley wrote, “I thank Him for you, before I even know you.”
She will not be forgotten.
