Senator John Cornyn, the 74-year-old Texas RINO, is swinging wildly like a human metronome between “YES!” and “NO!” on the Senate filibuster. One foot on FLIP, the other on FLOP, while the SAVE America Act looms right behind him at the Capitol.
And the timing couldn’t be better. After years of fiercely defending the filibuster as “essential,” Cornyn just performed another classic reversal this week, suddenly announcing he’s now open to changing Senate rules to ram through President Trump’s SAVE America Act. Coincidence?

He’s locked in a brutal May 26 runoff against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a battle-hardened MAGA fighter who’s been exposing Cornyn as exactly what he is: a flip-flopping establishment coward.
Paxton put it bluntly: “John Cornyn is a coward who has refused to support abolishing the filibuster to pass this bill.” In a stunning move, Paxton even offered to drop out of the race if Senate Republican leaders finally grow a spine, kill the filibuster, and actually pass the SAVE America Act.
Here’s why it matters: The SAVE America Act simply requires proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote. Trump knows the Democrats are desperate to block it — because clean elections are their worst nightmare. Without it, the Jackass Party keeps the door wide open for fraud, non-citizen voting, and stealing control of Congress in the midterms.
Democrats march in perfect lockstep to protect their rigged system. Meanwhile, too many Republicans keep swaying back and forth like Cornyn’s metronome.
Texas voters are watching. It’s time to stop the music, pick a damn side, and secure our elections.
