Ted Turner Reduces The World Population By One

Cartoon Published 05/07/2026

Ted Turner once said,

“Life is a game. Money is how we keep score”

To Ted, the accumulation of wealth was a measure of success in the “game” of life. Indirectly, he called most of the country “losers.” Never mind that most of those losers never had a head start like he did. He inherited his father’s advertising business worth well over a million dollars.

Ted later bought a TV station in Atlanta which morphed into Turner Broadcasting. He founded CNN and married a movie star—Jane Fonda. He considered running for president, but Jane put her foot down. Apparently she didn’t want to become a ‘First Lady.’ (Yes, that thought makes me shudder, too).

Turner pursued environmental causes. Ted complained, “There’s too many people. That’s why we have global warming.” Of course, he had five children himself.

Ted’s net worth at death was estimated to be around $2.8 billion. He owned nearly two million acres of land—much of it was purchased in order to conserve the environment. That’s laudable, but his obsession with the climate change scam was not. He funded and pushed the delusion that Greenland would melt and raise sea levels by 20 feet. He was ahead of even Al Gore in the hucksterism. Like Gore and many other climate change pushers, he owned a beachfront mansion and in fact, he owned an entire island.

Yes, Ted Turner won the game of life and for a long time he proclaimed himself to be an atheist. Many staunch liberals like him are against Christians. The entire Democrat Party is going communist and anti-Christian. They want us to worship their government power, not God. But I digress.

Ted did claim he was becoming more spiritual in old age and it is said he was reexamining his beliefs. He was also a philanthropist and claimed he would give away his entire fortune—but didn’t. Maybe because he wanted to make sure he went out a winner. God was keeping the real score, though.

RIP, Ted Turner.
