There has been a demand that the company be sold and removed from Chinese hands, but offers were rejected. Trump saw the popularity of the platform and doesn’t want it banned. Some say his motivation derived from a big donor linked to Tiktok.
Millions of young people who use TikTok don’t want it banned, either. Where else can they show themselves dancing and singing while trying to gain popularity by means of view count? Why the RedNote app of course, another platform owned by China and named after Chairman Mao’s infamous ‘red book.’

We at GrrrGraphics never had or used TikTok and so we won’t miss it, but among users we expect to there will be a great deal of wailing and gnashing of teeth and other withdrawal symptoms. They might have to put their phones down and do something new and unusual…such as reading a book.
