Red Pill Expo 2024

The Red Pill Expo will take place on June 15 through 16 in Rapid City, South Dakota. I made the long drive from Montana to attend the event a few years ago and it was well worth it. I arrived thinking I already more or less knew the topics that were to be discussed. I quickly realized I knew less and I learned a LOT from the expert speakers.

Showing up to hear the experts speak is much better than sifting through information on a monitor—and you get to enjoy a mini vacation at a city surrounded by wonderful, bucolic scenery.

If you can’t make it in person, I suggest you attend the presentations via live stream. If you do go, make sure you make a side trip to visit nearby Mount Rushmore. it’s mesmerizing to see in person the four presidents carved into a mountain. It’s exponentially better than looking at photos of it. There are trails leading up to the carvings and it’s a kick to look up and see George Washington’s nose.

Also, the famous town of Deadwood is nearby. Nestled in the Black Hills, the historic town is worth a visit. The Number 10 saloon where Wild Bill Hickok was shot (while holding aces and eights) is still there. If you have enough time, go and visit the famous, massive Crazy Horse memorial monument—also in the Black Hills. It’s the largest mountain carving in the world, but it remains unfinished even after 75 years of work. The face is done, but the rest remains incomplete. A lot of Indians object to blowing up a mountain for such a spectacle and nobody knows what Crazy Horse looks like, but it  remains an impressive undertaking regardless.

G. Edward Griffin created the event and he’s still going strong at age 92. His book, “The Creature from Jekyll Island” inspired me to draw editorial cartoons back in 2009. I didn’t get a chance to meet him, but maybe you can—and bring your copy of the book for him to sign. (My copy is heavily underlined).

After attending the event I decided to help them out (even if a little) and promote them with a yearly cartoon.
